Kindergarten is a year of new beginnings, full of spiritual, intellectual, emotional and social development. Each child brings their own excitement, energy and curiosity into the Kindergarten classroom. From learning the alphabet to learning about God’s wonderful creation, children are encouraged to use and develop their unique talents and to celebrate each other’s gifts.

Kindergarten is themed based and we focus on a new theme each month.  In September, we learn about how amazing and loving our God is in the story of Creation. In October, we learn about the seasonal changes of Fall and how pumpkins and apples grow and change. In November, we focus on North American Bears and also have fun with many different pretend bears. In December, we remember and celebrate the birth of our Saviour. In January, we learn about the wonders of winter. February and March, we focus on healthy living and how God made us each unique.  In April, we pull out different kinds of tools and see how they help us with specific jobs. In May, we transform our classroom into a rainforest and learn about different animals that live on each forest layer. In June, we dive into a unit on water and have fun experimenting and seeing the different properties of water.
